Beatbox is constantly evolving, each artist seeks to bring something of his own, to be remembered for his special style and sounds. Sometimes you listen to new tracks and without any doubt you recognize their author. Catch a selection of ten beatboxers with a special style of performance.

Style is made up of many factors, such as: special sounds, connections, unusual techniques, interruptions, combinations, compositions, accents. All of this creates a special “handwriting” of each beatboxer.

Reeps One
Harry Eff / Reeps One (November 18, 1989) – a professional beatboxer from England, a member of many battles and beatboxing events, the UK beatboxing champion, as well as an artist and a chess player.

At the age of 14, Harry decided to link himself with beatboxing, as playing musical instruments was not very good. Growing up, he began to think about how he could visualize beatboxing, and that’s how he was introduced to kymatics, which brought him fame.

Napom
Neil Patrick Meadows / Napom was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he discovered beatboxing in 2011 at the age of 16. He found that this art form allowed him to open new doors in music, and every day he continued to push his talent and abilities to the next level. Napom has become a beatboxing icon, teacher and full-time performer, inspiring other musicians around the world. His style and deep bass wowed people all over the world. Now based in New York City, Napom is committed to pushing the boundaries of the human body’s abilities and spreading this art and culture around the world.

D-Low
Dan Lowes / D-Low is a professional beatboxer from England who has become known for his specials and aggressive pitches at battles. Dan lives in the southwest of England, in the town of Swindon. His popularity came to him in 2015 after his application to the world Grand Beatbox Battle, where he wowed everyone with his special sounds and unusual pitch, but he never made it to the battle itself. In 2015 and 2018 he participated in the World Beatbox Battle Championship, but did not make the Top-16.

TWO.H.
Yong Hong Ha / Two.H is a professional beatboxer from South Korea, participant of various battles and events, has prizes and titles. Participated in Grand Beatbox Battle in 2017, where he did not win any prizes, but in 2019 he repeated at Grand Beatbox Battle 2020 (which has been postponed for now).

TRUNG BAO.
Trung Bao Nguyen / Trung Bao is a visual artist and professional beatboxer from Vietnam and is a member of the creative design studio Fustic. Trung Bao became famous for his unusual wildcards on Grand Beatbox Battle. His entries garnered millions of views. His girlfriend Chiwawa is also an active beatboxer, and together they form the Bawa team.

KING INERTIA
Rome / King Inertia is a professional beatboxer from Rhode Island (USA) who made his name in the online community Teamspeak, later recorded several times on Beatbox Television and Swissbeatbox. King Inertia participated in his first Boston Beatbox Battle in 2015, then the Midwest Beatbox Battle and the American Beatbox Championship.

SHOW-GO
Shogo Kai / Show-Go (October 31, 1999) is a professional beatboxer from the northern Hokkaido region of Japan. Shogo learned about beatboxing at the age of 14 when he watched beatboxer Hikakin on YouTube. After that, he reviewed a bunch of beatboxing videos. In 2017, Show-Go released his wildcard on Grand Beatbox Battle, which took first place.

WING
WinG is a leading beatboxer from Korea. In early 2017, he officially became champion by winning the Korean Beatbox Championship, a competition that served as a huge milestone in the Korean beatboxing scene. The only battle he ever competed in after KBC 2017 was the Asian Beatbox Championship, where he and beatboxer Hellcat competed as a team called “Jackpot” and took 2nd place.

BABELI
Robin Calderolla / Babeli is a world-renowned beatboxer from Marburg, Germany. He started beatboxing at the age of 14. Five years later, Babeli participated in his first battle at the German beatboxing championship in 2011, where he took first place. In 2015, Babeli competed in the World Championships, finishing in the top 16 in the world, losing in the semifinals to vice-champion Napom.

BLOOMER
Bjorn Hunstad / Bloomer is an American beatboxer from Northwest Minnesota who started beatboxing at the age of 14. He only started practicing when his brother’s friend started beatboxing.

Bloomera’s angular, hard and slightly broken beatboxing makes him one of the most original beatboxers of recent years. The juxtaposition of his lip-synching bass and crisp base sounds, combined with light accents in each beat, sound very unusual.
